Here is a view showing Rob's new workshop in the foreground and my new office in the background. 1/30/03 |
This is a view from the road behind our house. 1/30/03 |
They've broken into our attic! 1/28/03 |
This is a view from the steet behind our house. Our house looks so LONG! 1/27/03 |
We'll have a roof soon! 1/27/03 |
Only one more wall to go up! 1/25/03 |
Our SE wall of our new living room (same side that fireplace is on) will have a couple of transom windows flanked by
square windows to hold the stained glass windows that Dad made for us for our former cabin. 1/25/03 |
They even came in to work on a Saturday! 1/25/03 |
More walls - Dad, notice the block work. 1/23/03 |
Downstairs wallls going up. 1/22/03 |
They have started to put up the walls. As you can see, Rob's workshop will not be quite as wide as the garage. This
is so we don't have to cut down a big, old oak tree. 1/22/03 |
Another picture of inside the "tent." 1/21/03 |
This is from the inside of the "tent." 1/21/03 |
It is only about 5 degrees today with a -15 degree windchill. So, they have constructed a "tent" to work in.

The siding started coming off 1/20/03 |

After the block work, they had to cover the blocks and put a heater in the trench so the cement would cure. The
builder hooked a heater to our gas line and it ran all week-end. I can't wait to see our gas bill! 1/17/03 |
The block work begins. 1/16/03 |
They even burned our Christmas tree to thaw the ground! 1/15/03 |
It was so cold that the ground was frozen and even the back hoe couldn't break through it. So, they started a fire
over where they wanted to dig to thaw the ground. 1/15/03 |
We couldn't start digging until all the permits were in order. Unfortunately, this meant digging in about 20 degrees
and snow! |
House Renovation Project! - First, they tore off the deck. 1/6/03 |
For our 13th anniversary, Rob surprised me with this beautiful player piano. It is a 1919 Wing & Sons piano that has
been fully restored. |
This is a picture of our new house! We finally moved in after much remodeling! (January, 1999) |
This is how our kitchen looked when we purchased the house. |
This is the same kitchen! What a difference! Rob sanded & painted the cabinets, we had the wall tile & counter
resurfaced, and put in new flooring and lights! |
