Oddball Cards
THUMBNAILDESCRIPTION
1959-60 Busch Bavarian Beer
1972-73 Comspec. A touch regional set that copied the same exact photos of topps (probably not llegal). Only a few sets exist and I need about half. Send me comspecs!!!
1975 Crane discs. By far the most difficult of the discs sets (buckman and carvels the others). I do not have the set but do expect to get it one of these years as singles do shoe up.
Probably the earliest basketball card in existence. This card dates around 1899 and is an advertisement for Enamaline shoe polish. Not too difficult to obtain but a great addition to any vintage basketball collection!!
1948-49 Exhibit cards. The 1948 (including mikan) are somewhat easy the 1949 (fulks, weir, and someone else) are very hard to find. Need one more (murray weir).
1965-66 Gunther Bear. Great regional set that is very hard to locate and often are autographed.
Magic Photo cards. These are actually topps first cards and there are a few basketball in the set. Not real attractive but nice little cards.
1955 Ashland Oil card. The king of college basektball cards. Very difficult to obtain complete sets. Come with ashland and aetna oil backs. Often found with oil stains as they were handed out by guys who filled your car with gas.
Ashland Oil
Walt Bellamy comspec card
Mr. Big of Basketball comic book. - George Mikan.
